Choose the country where you would
like to study. Please note that some programs take place
in multiple countries, while other programs may have different
sites throughout the world (i.e. "Worldwide").
Choose which duration you would
like to study abroad. Some durations may differ from the
UW-Madison calendar due to differences in academic calendars
or the presence of a pre-session (e.g. pre-semester language
Choose the class standing
you will have at the start of the program. You may apply
for most programs in which you do not meet the class standing
at the time of application, as long as you achieve that standing
by the start of the program.
Freshman - 23 credits or less
Sophomore - 24 to 53 credits
Junior - 54 to 85 credits
Senior - 86 credits and above
Extended Applicaiton Deadline:
Choose the Extended Application Deadline date you wish to use.
Search for programs that offer four or more courses in a specific subject.
Search for programs that have these designations as options on the program or the whole program
Directed Study: Programs that have a directed study course as part of the regular program offerings
Certificate in Global Health: Programs approved by the Undergraduate Certificate in Global Health to fulfill the field course requirement
Honors Program: Approved by the L & S Honors Program to receive Honors credit for program course work
Internships: Programs that offer an internship course for academic credit
Practicums: Programs that offer practicum course work
Research and Fieldwork: Programs with research or fieldwork courses
Service-Learning: Programs that have a service-learning course approved by the Morgridge Center for Service-Learning
Student Teaching: Programs where you can complete part of your student teaching experience

Languages that are available for study at the institutions associated with the program.
Choose the language of instruction for your program. For example, if you wish to take courses taught primarily in English, choose "English." Please note that for some programs where English is the primary language of instruction, secondary instruction (e.g. a language course) may take place in the host country language. In some cases, there may be a language prerequisite, even with programs where the primary language of instruction is in English.
