• At the time of application, students must have matriculated at a college or university for at least one semester
• 0-4 semesters of college-level Mandarin Chinese or equivalent
• UW-Madison degree-seeking students only. Other students apply directly to CIEE.

CIEE Environmental, Cultural & Economic Sustainability in Beijing

Offered through CIEE the Environmental, Cultural & Economic Sustainability in Beijing program is an approved UW affiliate program. This program is designed for students interested in learning Chinese, Tibetan or Uyghur language and an interest in gaining an understanding of sustainability within the context of contemporary China. This program is ideal for students majoring in the social sciences with an interest in multi-ethnic China and modern life in Beijing and rural ethnic areas of China.
