Offered through CIEE, the CIEE Arts and Sciences semester program and Summer Ghanaian Studies program are approved UW affiliate programs. On the semester program, you will take a required Twi language course, along with four additional courses chosen from the regular offerings at the University of Ghana.  A credit-based internship is an option on the semester program, and there are many volunteer opportunities. On the summer Ghanaian Studies program, you are able to take one 4-credit course for one of three 4-week sessions. Each session has a few course offerings for you to choose from. You can combine sessions to create an 8 or 12 week program as well. An optional Survival Twi Language course which is not for credit is also offered.

You will be working closely with both IAP and CIEE on this program. You can access the program's main information page for the semester or the summer through the CIEE website to learn more about the academics, housing, excursions and activities, and location.
