UW Microbiology International Internships

The UW Microbiology International Internships program is offered by the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) in partnership with IAP.

The UW-Madison Department of Bacteriology, in association with the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, offers this International Undergraduate Research Experience for up to seven undergraduate students each summer. Participating undergraduate students will spend ten weeks in a biological sciences research laboratory at the Faculty of Science at Mahidol University or Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand conducting full-time research in microbiology, microbial genetics, and/or molecular biology.

This opportunity will allow selected students to further their research experience by becoming engaged in an active, top-notch research program in a recognized scientific laboratory at Mahidol University or Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. Participating students will conduct their own research project under the direction of a Thai faculty member and work as part of a laboratory research team investigating fundamental questionsin microbiology and molecular biology.
