Experience living and studying in northern Japan! This exchange program enables participants to enroll at Hokkaido University in Sapporo, Japan - the capital of the country's northern island of Hokkaido. This program is designed for students from a variety of academic majors who wish to take classes taught in English while studying Japanese language.

Located on the northern island of Hokkaido, Sapporo is the island's capital and one of Japan's largest cities. The city is known for its unique history, natural beauty, relaxed character and is considered one of the most desirable places to live in Japan. A cultural center and home to many diverse museums, art galleries, cultural institutions, shopping, entertainment, and parks, Sapporo is well known for its seasonal festivals, including the Sapporo Snow Festival, White Illumination, Summer Festival, and Yosakoi Soran Festival. Sapporo is also an excellent base for exploring the rest of Japan's northernmost island, known for its beautiful national parks, great skiing, and natural hot springs.
